Objective

• While commemorating the Seoul Olympic Games that were held successfully in an atmosphere of harmony and friendship of the whole world and promoting the ideals of the harmony of mankind and world peace, the international prize is awarded to herald the ardent hope for peace of the people of Korea which is the only divided nation in the world.
